Preparing for Baby, Parent Baby & Baby Massage Programmes: Graduation Special
Participants from three different programmes graduated in December 2016 in Dundalk and Drogheda. Lots of pictures from the two events below.
First up was the Incredible Years Parent Baby Programme graduation which took place on Friday 16th December 2016 in The Barbican Centre in Drogheda.
The programme was facilitated by Mairead Davis (Connect Family Resource Centre), Hilda McConnon (HSE Public Health Nurse) and Maeve Murphy (Community Volunteer).
It was held in St. Brigid’s Girls’ National School (GNS) on Bothar Brugha in Drogheda. Thank you to Lorraine White and all at St. Brigid’s GNS for the use of their facilities.
Carol Doran, Social Work Department at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, presented the certificates to participants on the day.
Mary Keogh, one of the participating parents spoke on behalf of the group and said that everyone enjoyed the programme and gained lots of skills.
In a busy week for graduations from our different programmes, the focus on Monday 19th December was the Preparing for Baby Programme and the Baby Massage Programme.
These graduations were held together in the Muirhevnamor Community Centre.
The Preparing for Baby Programme was facilitated by Caroline Bowe (Muirhevnamor Springboard) and Frances Durnin (The Genesis Programme). It was held in the Springboard offices in Muirhevnamor. Thanks to Tusla and Caroline for their support with this.
The Baby Massage Programme was held in St. Alphonsus Health Centre over 5 weeks. 9 parents completed the programme.
Jenny Smyth, one of the participating parents, said she really enjoyed the sessions and gained so much from the 5 sessions.
Siobhan McElearney, Assistant Director, HSE Public Health Nursing, presented certificates to the graduates on the day.
